>>3433714The Full Frame claim, not the MF claim.
>>>3433743>They haven't, CIPA data shows that DSLR market shrinks steadily while mirrorless gets small gains. In terms of marketshare mirrorless gained at the expense of P&S. DSLR marketshare went up.
>>3433743>DSLRs have stagnated for years while mirrorless cameras still have a lot of room for improvement. No, DSLRs have been ahead of mirrorless (AF performance, lenses, weather sealing, shooting speed, etc.) for years, and mirrorless is just catching up. That said, the Canikon hard push into mirrorless will probably shift the market. But up until now "mirrorless has TAKEN OVER!!!" really has been a meme.
>>3434106>Canon being a dick about separating markets for their cameras by withholding features goes back to like 30D/60D era.EVERYONE does this, including Sony. (Do you honestly think the 42mp sensor is more expensive to make than the 24mp sensor? Fab costs are based on chip size.) You just don't like how Canon is mixing the features.
>>3434118>>3434121Who gives a shit? The 6D2 sensor beats the A72 sensor on high ISO by roughly one full stop but is worse on ISO 100 dynamic range. I'm tired of DxO and DPReview worshiping DR as the only metric by which to judge a sensor. If you're not pushing shadows 5 stops then the 6D2 looks as good as the A72/3 at low ISO, better than the A72 at high ISO, and damn close to the A73 at high ISO.
How is it an "old" or "bad" sensor if I can't see the difference in a 36" print? Video is where Sony does very well and Canon lags, but at $1299 a lot of people aren't going to care about the frame rates or crop.
