>>3556250>>3556271>>3556252Thanks. I'm gonna try and look for an 85mm that is very neutral to it's bokeh to use as a standard lens for this setup.
As for the setup, pic related.
It's a iscomorphot göttingen kiptar 2x projector lens. The thing wouldn't even get properly into focus when used like any other projector lens like it. So I had to disassemble it in order to get focus within the focus range of the taken-lens.
The thing threaded onto the front of the taken-lens is the rear element of the projector lens. It's been stuffed into a cheap polarizer filter so it can be twisted. It needs to twist because if it's not in proper alignment with the front element, even by a millimeter, the image is soft as shit.
I had to do this because apparently it differs from taken-lens to taken-lens.
The front element has been gutted, shortened and put on a macro slider so I can adjust the focus for the "projector lens".
This also enables me to do much closer minimum focus distance.
I'll find out something to cover up the distance between rear and front element. and taken-lens.
As for desqueeze, simply resize the image with the ratio-lock unchecked.
Since it's a 2x anamorphic, I half the height resolution.
I have an external monitor for the camera with a desqueeze in it, but I was just out for a snapday.
