>>2575695>>2575728>>2575712>>2575696Oh you can, it just depends on how good your (or you are as a) Cinematographer (/G&E) & Colorist are.
>>2575551Agreed.
But in terms of style, in every sense - it should serve to make the story more interesting/emotionally invested in/serve the story.
Part of it is also that I get frustrated when I see films with so little story that they try to compensate by drawing it out with overly stylized visuals (unnecessary camera/character movement)/deviations from the story/drawn out one-shots/weird for the sake of weird (turns a good 75 minute story into a long 100 minute story).

My gmail is still up.
[email protected]>>2575560>>2575546Yep, the nice thing is that a speedbooster kinda solves both of those problems (though it's a sizable amount of extra cash).
>>2575493Shot on the BM4k a while months back, the sensor isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be (it cannot handle extreme underexposure [it is NOT a low-light camera] - but if you expose properly & know how to grade it, it can look amazing). Only thing I dislike about it is that the body gets extremely hot under normal use (as in you can heat up pizza on it - primarily because the body acts as a heatsink).
GH4 is the more versatile 4k camera (much less picky, but no RAW or 10-bit [without external recorder]), plus it looks like a stills camera & keeps that form factor.
The RED's are good but take a bit of getting used to if you're from a DSLR/Mirrorless background (RED's menu/startup procedures/ [a few of them aren't obvious/ in their "quick start" guide]/builds have a learning curve, +can't natively edit r3dcode raw unless you use premier).
The URSA Mini looks like a good option when it comes out (though it'll run yeh an extra $1k to get it started [vmounts+charger, cfast cards]). I'll let ya'll know what I think of it when I poke it with a stick at Cinegear.
