99% of my shots are on a tripod and the raw compression has never ever shown itself obviously, even when I've tried to give the worst possible scenario.
I've got a selection of nikon, pentax, canon, sigma, sony, contax, Russian, tamron sp adaptall 2 and various other lenses. I've also adapted a lens from a disposable camera, which is a bit of fun and is not much deeper than a body cap.
No its not a lens for a wedding, if I wanted to do that work though I could go canon or nikon and have a fast wide, normal and short tele ready to use.
Cameras are tools and for what the sony is good at, it's really fucking good, the a7rii is looking like it's getting a 50mp sensor and probably ibis and sony are looking to implement a high resolution stills mode via ibis, much like pentax and olympus have started to do. The rrp of the a7 is under $1000 now, which is significantly cheaper than any ff dslr.
