I apologize if this thread doesn't belong here, but I've searched all over the internet and I figured I'd ask my own questions and hopefully get some help.
Yesterday, my Grandpa gave me this 8mm, "Bell & Howell 1201 Autoload - Focus Matic" camera from around 1972 - 1973. Pic related is said camera. It's in good condition, although I don't honestly know if it works. I don't have a manual with it, either. I've always wanted to make dumb, short experimental films, and it's a great coincidence I got this. I have no experience with film, especially older variations of film, ever. I learned how to focus and zoom in/out. Pretty simple. Aside from that, I don't quite know how it works, and I don't want to fuck something up. Anyone have one of these and know how they work? I'd be ecstatic for some tips and help in learning how to use this camera. Even if I can just get a link to a manual for it, I would be happy. Thanks, guys.
In the meantime, how about an old film camera/experimental film thread? Maybe post some of your own works?
