I think the Batis 2/25 is perfect for a temporary A6000.
It's crop factor will turn it into a 38mm lens, which is useful standard FL.

Someday the Full Frame A7 series will become even more affordable, and when you upgrade from A6000 to a Full Frame, the lens just transforms to a wide angle 25mm. Less standard, but still very useful.

OLED displays black by turning off the individual pixel, so the more Black the is on the screen, the longer the screen will live.

So it's actually incredibly minimal which portions of the screen is even active at any time. 90% of that screen is turned off when the lens is in usage.

Is f/2 considered a fast aperture at 25 mm?

Zeiss is releasing a Wide angle Loxia later this year, but this one actually has autofocus mode. So I'm considering it.

I consider everything up to f/2.8 "fast" on full frame.

I like to stop down to at least f/2.8 to get enough depth of field anyways.
The only time I want something like f/1.4 is when it's really dark, and I have a 50 for that.

f/2 is considered pretty fast regardless of length. At wider lengths you'd be hard pressed to find anything more than a stop faster than that.

I actually laid out my plan accordingly combining high quality FF optics with affordable APS-C in the A5100 with an upgrade path to FF in the future. Currently sporting the Kit lens with the FE 55/1,8 which is ~80mm on APS-C.

The 25mm Batis will complement my collection greatly and might even replace my Kit lens entirely. With this I will have 40mm and 80mm, as well as a good upgrading path in the future, since I know I won't stay with the A5100 forever.

This technology would be amazing for something like a high power, large aperture macro lens, for scientists and professionals who need to focus stack exactly, and could use the near/far indicators to get a perfect stack every time.

For a 25mm? 85mm portrait lens? Whatever, Zeiss.
