I have reached a point where better gear isn't going to make me a better photographer, but better parts will make that Probe a better car, and my skills are rapidly outgrowing the stock suspension on that car. I've probably got 15 into it right now between the new JDM engine build, supporting mods, big brake kit, wheels and tires and the coilover suspension setup. This year I want to focus on piecing together a serious turbocharger setup to compliment a balls-out motor I'm building right now. I post pictures of it on here but there is a lot of work that has gone into it to make it less shitty that I don't talk about because no one on /p/ cares.
A gimped D4 that shoots pre-AI glass natively is plenty of camera for someone at my level. And I really love it. My setup is 95% of the IQ of a Leica or a Zeiss setup, for a quarter of the cost. I've wanted something like this forever, and now I have it.
If I need to be spending money on anything photo related, especially right now, it's plane tickets I need to be buying. I have enough camera shit.
