>>3594367>triggered hobbyistOh, this is going to be good.
>Have you made any hi-fi equipment recently?I make things with 5 million dollar machines and don't see the point in going down that road.
>Your room is going to have a bigger effect than using a completely different pair of speakers than the reviewerWe already established that you ignored rooms in your previous non-argument I addressed here
>>3592200 and now you're backtracking. I calibrated using microphones at the listening positions and bypassing the crossovers (13 separate volumes and delays) plus positioning.
>"Hi-Fi reviews" are creative writing exercises, not technical or objective by any measure.Right, and some angry anonymous reject on 4chan is the true authority. They have gotten excellent reviews everywhere. It's just autists like yourself (who don't even own them) crying about mass produced parts. Also, I have lived with them for 10 years. You are not the authority on this, sorry. Just another gatekeeping hobbyist crying that people can get the same fidelity by using money instead of tinkering for hours. Next tell me how Nikon ripped me off because I didn't grind my own glass.
>Real hi-fi starts at around $5k a pair of bookshelf/standmount size speakersAll of a sudden money matters! Interesting how you changed your tune. You know you're talking to a guy with multiple Nikkor primes way over $5K right? Also, you may want to browse the Bryston catalogue. They are Canadian, perhaps you haven't heard of them. Plus, a reminder that you're the one who turned a simple discussion into a contest.
You're a hobbyist. I have met loads of people like you. You cobble together oldschool trad tech that sounds "organic" and make tube amps because you like the "warmth" (the truth is everything else is light-years beyond your comprehension). That's great, but it's not going to compare to a 7 channel digital surround system for watching movies.
