>>3182379You just proved my point, stop being poor and it isn't a problem, there's a reason the Df is so expensive and I like the D series lenses because they have AI tabs on them that lets me use them on my FM and other Nikon film bodies. And optically they are more than good enough, plus their size means the rig stays light and easy to carry on the street, I've spend whole nights out with friends with the Df and one lens.
Plus a lot of the D lenses use 52mm filters so I can use the same filter on each lens, with the exception of my 85 1.8D, 180 2.8 ED, Street Sweeper and 75-300, and the 85 and 75-300 are both 62mm thread and the other two are 72mm.
Besides, Nikon knows most people who buy those low-end bodies are soccer moms and beginners who don't even know what a prime lens is.
When I had the Canon FF system I shot most L glass and the Nikon prime lenses are mostly up to or above par for L glass. Why pay more for the same result? Anything faster than f1.4 is a meme lens anyway.
>stop liking things I don't likefuck off
>>3182431The 18-55 VRII is a glorious beautiful razor sharp lens, but for the love of god don't drop it. Kit lenses have come a long way in the optics department at the expense of build quality. I still keep mine in the bag for a low-weigh walkaround.
Also
>Canon fanboys complain about backwards compatibility in low end Nikon bodies>Most Nikon FX bodies including the Df can mount and shoot DX lenses natively and the sensor goes into DX mode>Canon can't even mount EF-S lensesWhich is a shame because the 17-55 2.8 is a great lens and the short time I had one on my 60d I loved it.
