They are fairly easy to service too if you have the tools. I cleaned the optics and re-aligned the zoom rack, these screws were loose when I pulled the bottom off. A simple re-alignment and everything was good to go.
The AF is good though and fairly quick. I use mine as a walkaround. You only notice the backfocus if shooting wide open and at 70mm at close distances.
