Thought I'd make a thread, it's been quite a while.
There have been a few Quick'n'Dirty B&W threads in the last few days, and oddly enough that was what I did with my last batch too.
Exif is Olympus Infinity Mini + FP4 in Tmax Dev 1:4.

Ja, I know. It was my intention.
To blast away the detail and only leave the shot motive highlighted.
As you can see, I also didn't crop.
Mainly just wanted to get something off my computer and onto the internet with as little time and effort as possible.
I find that as I'm getting better at processing, I get slower at it, mainly through becoming too critical of minor IQ flaws.

Actually went for only slightly lower contrast than I've given it here. Grade 4, I think.
Gotta say, I can't recommend the camera highly enough. Practically every frame (all 39 of them) is sharp, except for when I've intentionally defeated the flash. Makes me wish my digital GR had IR AF.

With only 8 shots to a roll, no reason not to post them all, minus 2 of the gf.
I was planning to crop it square, and hoped that shooting wide open would give enough subject separation to make it pop. I was also hoping for a little more saturation.
I was thinking "enigmatic monolith lurking in the grass".
Unfortunately even with a huge neg, f5.6 and Portra didn't do it for me. These things happen.

I came into this thread expecting some awesome pictures judging from the main page. I left disappointed. STILL! Keep it up. There doesnt seem to be a story to almost all of these, no emotion, so its just another picture. Try to make us feel something.

Don't really like the high contrast style, but I kinda like these, especially the one with the snake. Would have liked for it to be a little more centered, but oh well. The high contrast style really works well with the structure of the leaves and the pattern of the snake.

Yeah, as I said, I'm much more interested in printing a few of these. Pic related is a couple of test prints. As I said, I ended up printing the snake at a higher grade than what you see here, turned out good. Posted it to my sister in London, so I can't show you. The print of the fan was the last sheet from my very first pack of paper, you can see it's badly fogged.

I never underexpose colour neg film where there's enough light. Metered these for the grass at ISO 100. The contrast is all processing.

6'2". I was about 5 steps up though. I disagree, it wouldn't be the same photo from lower down. Too much window, not enough backs, and lacking the drama from the wide angle distortion of the doorframe.

and this one are all from a roll of very expired Fuji Sensia 100 someone gave me.
Metered at 80, very warm cast on the slides, but that was fine because I shot a lot in shade.
