I'm not sure if this is the right board to ask this, but it seemed like it'd be relevant.
How much difference would a dedicated scanner make if I wanted to scan some photos from a book compared to an all-in-one printer?
I have a photobook that I'm scanning with my AIO printer, but I'm disappointed with the quality (pic related). It looks noisy as fuck and there's quite a bit of banding on some of the scans. The pages are A4 size, but I was hoping to be able to scan them at a resolution that would allow for A2 prints if possible.
I was looking at the Canon LiDE 220, but I'm not sure if the difference in quality would be much different than if I were to just do a reduce noise filter and punch up the contrast in PS.
