To begin,
Try shooting in shutter priority mode and keep your shutter speed at least 1:1 with your focal lenth.
Non-technically that means. If you are using a 300mm lens, keep your shutter at least 300. If you have shaky hands like I do, keep it at 450-600 for best results.
If you want to shoot in aperture priority, keep the aperture number as low as possible. That will let more light in and make your camera raise the shutter speed all by itself.
