Get an ME Super and avoid paying the Hipster Tax. Film-school demand and faggots imitating it drive the price of a decent K1000 up to a hundred bucks. You can get an ME super for under half that, and you get aperture-priority mode in the bargain.

Gotta be the Konica Autoreflex T2

Bought mine from a local camera store for 50 euros and for the price I got

-the body
-a case for the camera
-one of those leather protectors that goes over the body
-Hexanon 52mm f1.8
-Hexanon 28mm f3.5
-Tamron 135mm f2.8

+Looks good, works great, hexanon lenses are great, cheap, not too much automation
-Heavy, a bit bulky, the meter is made for mercury batteries

I also have a Pentax KM which is pretty similar to the K1000. It's more expensive than the Konica but it's smaller and lighter and I think it looks better too. The meter on mine is broken though which seems to be a common problem.

I used to have one, admittedly it wasn't the best camera but I think it's the most beautiful SLR next to the Nikon FM2.

It's huge yeah but I am not small myself so it worked well for me.

I have a Nikon D3100 with the 18-55 kit lens, and I want to adapt the lens to use with it. Having this would mean the whole arsenal of Nikon+Pentax lenses available (I know on a DX Nikon, but still)
Which adapter should I buy? I've looked at this fotodioX:

But I'm not convinced, as despite the infinity correction, many reviews report really bad quality at anything below f/5.6, getting proper shots at even f/4.0 on some cases, but not below, which really blow the reason I bought the lens for away. However, there are also plenty of great reviews about it, and I'm undecided. Any further feedback on this would be great.
Should I get a basic adapter without any correction, or is any other option worth it?
If not should I go film or maybe sell the camera. I've seen the lenses go for at least $60 on ebay, and in poorer conditions than the pristine ones my lens is in.
Another problem I have is shipping to Serbia, where I currently live.

Anyone have any input?

This thing with the winder grip is pretty okay, I have one and I like it. The cpu controlled shutter is good and the battery lasts forever. It's also built super well. Love it. In the past I neglected my K mount stuff, but since Pentax is discussing this new K mount FF digicam, I might have to grab some of the higher quality K mount lenses and build on it.

The 55/1.4 is DA* water and dust sealed right?

Recently I'm having the balls with my Konica FT-1. It's a beautiful little motor driven camera with some really gorgeous primes. Surely it's more expensive than other 'budget' 35mm cameras but I think the extra cost is worth it. The only con is that the meter, while accurate, is tuned for shutter priority instead of aperture priority. It uses AAA batteries but you should be using rechargeables in 2015 regardless of cameras and flashes.

I have both versions of the Autoreflex t3, and while it's a decent camera, it's plagued with extensive and chronic shutter jamming problems.

Here's an older ME super picture from before I learned to fix scan colors right.

I get the feeling it was a film student who handed them into the shop. They both run on AG13 cells but don't need them (like my OM1-n) I love these old mechanical cameras with decoupled TTL metering. I feel like that was the golden age of cameras when it came to electronics. Aided by but not hindered without them.

Yes, all the DA* series is. The 55/1.4 seems to throw a full-frame image circle, though there's no official FF support for anything not FA or DFA. They did say the FF camera will support a Nikon-style "DX Crop" feature, but we don't know if it'll do that with all DA lenses, only the ones that vignette, and whether or how you can override it.

Note that some DA* lenses (e.g., the 16-50/2.8) do show hard vignetting on FF.

This is how I felt buying my AE-1 kit that I'm always bragging about. $100AUD for a minty camera and a stack of nice primes, all caps and filters and cleaning gear.

This guy knows what's good. Everything he said is pretty true in my experience. The 52mm f1.8 is great and so is the 28mm f3.5. Can't go wrong with a metal autoreflex if you can handle the bulk. If you can't get a plastic TC or T4.

Pentax officially said that the DX crop mode would be optional and that some DA lenses may in fact be not only capable, but up to standards with the 135 image circle. They have yet to announce which lenses, and in fact it's likely that they will include a short page in the pentax FF camera's manual with a list of old DA lenses considered compatible. The best Chaika is the Chaika you have with you.

It really doesn't matter much. the 2M and 3 have brighter viewfinders and framelines. 3 has a meter, 2M is a 3 without a meter. The original Chaika is fixed lens, the others are all removable, but this doesn't mean anything because there are no other lenses for the camera (and no enlarger for the Chaika's lens was ever actually made)

I'd recommend buying the one you find the qtest, not trying to shop for the one with the best features. Chaikas do not really have features.

I don't think there's anything better than old film canons when it comes to budget:
Eos 100/Elan: £10 on ebay
28-80 2.8 EF: £28 on ebay

So...

To be fair both of the things had problems when I bought them, the camera had the sticky shutter problem, which was easy as fuck to fix and the lens had the zooming ring out of place, which required removing four screws and putting them back.
I did good I guess...

EOS 1 pleb here, I can confirm this, I can shoot a day on my old manual SLRs and not accidentally chimp, somehow the way the EOS 1 works just makes it feel like a digicam, so I end up accidentally chimping thinking I'm on a 5D lmao.

Konica FS-1. Found it together with this 75-205mm lens on a flea market for 35€, although you'd have to be lucky to find even the body for that little online.
I bought my Minolta 600si Classic for ~100 on ebay, though.

Flea markets and garage sales are where it's at, believe me.
