I'd never thought of using defraction on purpose, I'd never questioned that it was something to be avoided. Cheers, I'll have a think about how I could use it.

I use f/22 on my 4x5 camera all the time.
On aps-c? I use f/22 and f/32 occasionally for the diffraction look - Actually great when trying VSCO type presets.

You can just as well soften the picture in post.

There is no reason to cause more diffraction.

I have a toy fisheye conversion lens (pic relates to this) and because it's cheep it's soft and distorted as fuck so I need high ƒ-stops to get as sharp a pitcher as possible. the effects of diffraction are negligible compared to the fisheye's fisheyeness so I crank it as high as I can.

It's a fun lens. Photography is fun. I suck tho but in a blissful retard kinda way.

The Canon 135mm ƒ2 L does, I think. Pretty sure my old EF-S 15-85mm did, too.

Usually for deep landscapes, wide angles and more DOF. Also hyperfocal work like that asshole said.

diffraction has a nice look to me. Surely you can do it in post, but I haven't figured out how yet. Gaussian blur type effects don't do it.

Awwyea! I bought the variety pack. Do not buy the variety pack. It has Crisp Apple (which is B+ imo), but it also has Green Apple (C) and Cinnamon apple (C-) and Ginger (D).

Crisp Apple is good but the real money is on the Traditional Dry. Now that's an A cider to me.
