>>2581746Industar 69s are fairly consistent, though not all of them are coated (you should be able to tell just from the picture. if the glass looks 'white', it's probably uncoated, if its got some colorful sheen to it, it's coated). As long as the glass is clean, it should be fine.
Mechanically they're very simple lenses, they don't contain a helicoid and use a nut and bolt system to focus instead (which means a long focus throw, and if the stops inside the lens are removed, means very close focus)
They also need to be modified a bit to work, as their flange distance isn't the same as other M39 lenses. There are a bunch of different ways of modifying them to reach infinity, all pretty easy with minor tools (sandpaper)- I personally just removed the M39 insert from an M39-to-Fuji adapter and used set screws to attach the lens, sunken inside the adapter the appropriate distance. Some people opt to shave down the M39 insert instead, or shave down the focus stops to allow the lens to move further inside. Another option is to remove all of the internfal stops entirely, which is the easiest, but will result in having focus past infinity, as well as extreme close focus (up until the point that the front of the lens unscrews, at least, which is many full rotations)
They come with the Chaika series of cameras. Everything from the Chaika II up has a removable Industar 69- the original Chaika is a fixed-lens version, and would be much more difficult to convert.
