because it's literaly two guys sludging around in the snow. if it wasn't for the uniforms this would be an absolute boring photo that wouldn't take an artistic mind to create

I think the colors are pretty nice. It's mostly a warm red, against cold white.

From his other works with color, I'd assume that's what he had in mind when he shot it.
