In terms of the ability to capture a huge amount of RAWs at once, that has a few variables: memory card write-speed, processing power, buffer size. Battery life affects how quick the camera can shoot in burst mode. The ability to use AF @ a higher FPS is the only thing that's really being discussed right now.

Yes it's mirrorless, yes the physical limits of an SLR camera are different. But "light year jump in technology"? I think not.
