I think you're doing OK in some respects - putting some thought into composition, getting low with the subject and capturing the background. Often the backgrounds are too busy. The subjects themselves are often not very well presented - I get that with nature shots you have to work with what you've got - some shots I think would've worked nicer if you'd just looked around for a flower at a better angle or something.
>>2590427Post and corner of grey (pavement?) distracting the background. Flower is too flat. Personally would like to see the mountain in focus.
>>2590430Much better background (though i'd like to see the mountain in focus, tbh). Big problem here is the flowers are facing away.. The blue flower looks really pretty but also detracts from the main focus.
>>2590435road and sign detracting. Crop in.. But tbh the subject is pretty bland. Overexposed
>>2590437needed to get lower.. Cut off that stone. boring subject
>>2590438Lower angle here might've helped isolate it from the background
>>2590440Needs a foreground focal point. Photo is possibly tilted?
>>2590442Don't think you could've done anything with this light..
>>2590450crazy angle.
>>2590452texture of petals in that mid lower flower are kinda cool and could justify b+w, but otherwise nothing interesting in the photo
>>2590458Silhoutte not intersting enough to jusitfy the shot, and things sticking out detracting from the silhouette.
>>2590459Lacking foreground interest.
>>2590465Yay, stuff is happening! the persons back dead centre could work if it was a series of shots like it. but mostly we can't tell what's happening in the scene.
All up.. I think you're mostly polishing turds with VSCO. Need to consider the interest of your subject matter and work on composition elements. Straight-on flower photos and empty scenes are rarely interesting. My assignment to you - try to make sure you have a focal point of interest in every photo.
