I'm inclined to agree. There have been many formats come and go. I think APSC size DSLRs are going to be a fairly small blip relatively speaking.

I have a friend that burned quite a lot of money on a MFturds camera and 50mm. He wanted a small camera to shoot street with, he just didn't know about the shitty crop factor so he ended up with a base ISO 400 camera and a 100mm equiv lens :^) and payed the price of a FF set up. Not bad tbh, but not useful at all to what he wanted.

actually more like 1,700 for the gh4 , which is about the same as a7ii and more than the d610, so not actually impossible. I see lots of people making that mistake. You wuold be amazed by how many "pros" dont know about crop factor.

You can get 50mm M43 snapshitter that is smaller than D3000, focus instantly and make magazine print-quality photo for $400

M43 is cheap and the lens lineup now covers everything. I'm kinda worried about your friend tho.

Unless you're doing architecture or landscape photos it's a huge PITA for what it does. Medium format is more than enough nowadays for giant prints.
