Why is Pentax so weird?

Who the fuck wants a 30-60 f4-f6.3 eqv zoom, like nigger what the fuck?

Where the fuck are all their fast lenses? They don't even have a 35mm f1.4. How did they get their shit fucked up so bad?

The camera works so well with manual lenses that Samyang/Rokinon are a viable option too.

I agree.
I have all the fast primes I need and didn't pay more than 30€ each. 20mm Flektogon design MIR, 28mm Pentacon, 58mm Helios, 135mm Meyer design Pentacon.
Pentax makes it so easy to use cheap manual glass, I feel it's a crime paying so little for better glass than Canikon offers for $300+

I'm a Pentaxfag, but let's not get ridiculous. There are some very nice vintage lenses, but the better ones aren't that cheap unless you're really lucky.

Yeah, the original Zeiss Jena designs are quite expensive, over $100 which is why I choose the russian copies from MIR and Helios. If you know the piktograms you can get some very fine quality glass.
It's not simply luck, you must choose wisely from the manufacture dates and manufacturers and even the seller but if you know what to look for then you will most likely get a good piece.
With that said if I get some decent money and a chance for a good price I will get the originals. But first I must get the Tamron 70-200 F2.8 because the Pentax made is ridiculously priced.

Pentax's higher tier lenses are usually pancake primes, which Canon never really had until ~1-2 years ago and nikon still doesn't really have. But canons ones are sort of cheap entry level options so Pentax users are still faggots about it

Question, is pentax going to start a new lens line up for its FF camera or can you use the current crop lenses on it ? As in their crop lenses are big enough to be used in a FF sensor without vignetting.

They are re-vamping a line of lenses that isn't new but never took off. Their original 35mm lenses were FA. Their digital only lenses were DA. Their new line of full frame digital ready glass is D-FA. Some DA lenses are sufficient to cover full frame, in fact as many as half of them. Pentax announced that they are in the process of determining which ones, and once they have an official word, they might make an announcement, or could simply put a page in the pentax FF camera's manual that lists compatible DA lenses.

The only problem is that many of the FA 'essentials' are discontinued. The 85mm f/1.4 is quite, quite rare, and very expensive because of it, and you can't buy it in guaranteed perfect condition.

But, I'm sure they'll be fixing all of that soon with D-FA, D-FA* (even if they re-run old designs) as well as their lens-partner Tamron and Sigma filling in with premium glass.

That was true in their original run of those lenses, but isn't directly connected to the lens designs, and can easily be dealt with in new versions.

The 24-70 2.8 for Pentax's FF is likely to be rebranded version of the new Tokina 24-70.

Though the tech spec for Pentax's 70-200 is listed 19 element in 16 groups, which doesn't share any resemblance to Tamron's or Tokina's version.

Which is exactly why Tokina would have the incentive to do a joint development for a 70-200 with Pentax.
Also, Temron's 70-200 probably wont work if Pentax going to have IBIS in the FF, image circle wont be big enough for it. Also probably why the lens is so xbox huge while it doesn't have IS.
