Some will say the focus ring(when shooting video), but the pancake wins for me because of the price and weight. It's so light, even if I use it for video I didn't worry about shakiness or misfocus due to the ring. anyway, if you're going to get it for serious video use then that might be of some concern to you. For general use it's a nobrainer..get the pancake
