>>2599917Actually is quite the opposite of gearfagging. I can just buy a cheap manual focus lens and use the money to travel, instead of buying a 5k$ lens to shoot around my backyard. I only buy the cheapest gear I can find in other to travel and get quite decent pictures and people can't tell the difference in IQ. It is just a matter of how to post process.
Not saying that this is the perfect setup for everything, but for what I do (landscapes, fineart and travel) it is excellent. Ideally I should be using a MF like the pentax, But the weight and the format aren't that favorable for travelling, specially if you want to shoot in places where you aren't allowed to.
