Will I regret buying the Sony a6000 instead of Nikon D3200? a6000 is twice as expensive, so is it worth it?

-Lenses are not a big deal to me

the a6000 can accommodate better lenses. THe only downside is the battery life. But batteries are cheap. Buy the a6000

Gearfags will have you believe having the best camera is the most important thing in photography, whilst the actual truth is that I accounts for very little of the final image. Sure if you're going to do very specific things such as low light sports/event photography yeah maybe it'll matter but 99% of the times just focus on working with a system that you're comfortable with.

Most importantly study photography basics such as composition and then find photographers that inspire you, that you want to be as good as. I went through many phases of finding photographers I liked, studying their images and taking the best of their technique and blending it together with my own. I did this numerous times until I had something of my own. Anyway that's how I learnt, cameras don't mean shit unless you're buying something from a decade ago.

tl;dr: cameras don't matter as much as photographic vision and knowledge. Go out and shoot.

A6000 is a very good fit for people not looking to buy a bunch of lenses. You just dodged one of the main drawbacks of Sony, congrats. Now enjoy the superior specs and functionality over the D3200.

the entire point of a mirrorless is for compact use, why the fuck would have a bunch (say more than 2) of extra lenses in a fat carry bag

pretty sure if OP was going to pick value and kit/extras, he'd pick up a D3200. If not, and be happy with a couple of lenses then a6000.

I would also say that evf which offers focus magnification and peaking + wysiwyg is also the point of mirrorless though, at least thats why I use them. The lighter and smaller bodies are just a bonus
