>>2603188the a7ii has the IBIS which I've tried from a friend and I've gotten sharp pictures with a shutter as low as 1/10 about 75% of the times, even at 1/5 about 30% of the times
so if you're planning on shooting on dark conditions, the A7ii might be a better option over the A7r
now, that being said the A7r is incredibly sharp, I've compared raw images to those of my A7, the jump in quality quite noticeable, 36MP gives you much more detail over 24MP when using a sharp lens, and the A7r is a bit better at ISO performance and Dynamic range, but just a little bit
Also remember that there are lens that come with Image Stabilization on them, so you can get the A7r and use those to shoot in low light and get similar results to the A7ii, even the kit lens of these cameras has image stabilization
since they are at about the same price the A7r seems like a better choice
unless you constantly shoot video or in low light and want to use lens that do not have image stabilization built in, in that particular case the A7ii might be the way to go
also the A7r is much prettier, completely metal body vs A7ii's textured plastic
