What's the best camera for taking photos on auto? I've taken some remarkably good photos on auto with my olympus m5 but only because I'm good at photoshop. I can't be arsed to use a camera manually.

Does the Canon 1Dx have full auto?
Pretty sure 5Dmk3 has?

Nikon pro cameras don't have full auto, only P mode.

I'm literally the most amateur person on this board. I shoot a Leica D-Lux 6 for christ's sake.

With two google searches and 10 minutes of screwing around, I pretty much figured out manual mode. I really don't think there is a justification for not knowing how to shoot manual.

Not sure if troll question, but from what I've used, my olympus E-M5 got the white balance pretty much nailed and jpegs were surprisingly good without going for a retro look.

That's between Canon 5D, 6D, Fuji X-E1, X-E2 panasonic GH4 (only used for video but some test shots) and an Olympus E-PL5 and E-M5. All olympus models since the E-M5 are pretty much the same kind of good. Far from stellar, but a good compromise and easy / fast to use.

Because I'm a shit photographer but have been using PS for over 7 years so manage to get all of my quality from that. I know this is probably a dumb thing to do as I would learn to get a better shot than an auto pretty quickly but as I said I just cba. People see me as a good photographer but I'm actually one of the worst that has ever lived.

Most of manual shooting is needle matching, plus knowing the difference between 18% gray and whatever tonal value your subject is. It's not super complex, and it's certainly nothing to brag about.

The Olympus E-M5 is actually fantastic for shooting on auto. The JPEGs always come out with great colors and contrast.

It would help if you shot in RAW and at least knew how to dial in exposure compensation to prevent blown highlights, though.

I shoot E-M5 also.
It's not the best camera in the world, but its cheap now and does a good job on auto. Plus, with a decent lens, it looks really nice

The camera with the best meter will have the best auto mode. Full auto is just letting the meter do everything. Okay, so a nikon.

Then I'd single out the best nikon meter. I'd want one of those high pixel rgb face-detection meters.

So that's a D810, but the D810 doesn't even have auto. But I think the D750 does?

Actually the best one is a Canon 5D Mark II, it's one of the best cameras in the world. An episode of House was filmed on it and a lot of good photos, just google it you'll see.
