shot the war on drugs tonight. lighting was a challenge. took a nap in the back of the venue because security wouldn't let me shoot after the three songs for some reason.

The three song rule. guuuuuh. I love smaller venues that don't care how long you shoot but hate the free for all near the stage without a photo pit.

that's the shitty thing! i was alright aight three songs is normal, i'll just shoot from the balcony now and security said no. it's a really annoying venue but whatever. i only ended up with like 8 usable photos. i'm shooting ceremony in a couple days so that should be fun. I like the colors in this shot, it looks one a shot some idiot would turn B&W

local bands are fun. bars are fun. i still try to be respectful and not shoot THAT long. if anything I'll go in a less conspicuous spot after about three songs out of habit.

super strict venue that is very anti-stage for the crowd. the song in particular was their final one and it always turns into a warzone, even at the strict venue. this vid illustrates what usually happens at a smaller venue
