When someone asks you, "could you recommend me a good camera?"
What camera do you usually recommend?
I personally own 5D Mk III but this young college girl came up to me today during my music video shooting and asked me for a good camera good for both photo and video shooting around $1,000-$2,000 budget range.

I usually recommend 7D Mk II because of its revolutionary double auto focus system for video. And I personally looking forward to buy this as my second/back up camera. If it's too expansive for them, I recommend 70D for the same reason.

If you ran into my situation, which camera would you recommend her?

Plus, How is 7D Mk II for video shooting? Any anon with Mk II throw me some first hand review (focus on video)?
