Eggleston is great, but the red lightbulb photo is overrated as fuck... It's a gimmicky picture that has taken hold in the hearts and minds of bandwagon retards who will praise anything that they've been told they should like, and kind of misses the whole point of what he was about. He wasn't fixated on singular images, but more fascinated with the whole menagerie, the entire spectacle of existence. The fact that everyone reduces him down to just that one mediocre image makes me rage.
