M mount leicas are big for rangefinders and the om was designed to be small like a rangefinders but they are still similar size. The flange and the prism are bigger in the OM but almost any other metric the leica is bigger or the same.
Yes retrofocus designs make wide angles bigger on a SLR but using wide angles on a rangefinder often requires a viewfinder which makes it taller than a pentaprism. Also you can use any lens on a SLR while on a rangefinder if you want a long telephoto you will have a really hard time unless you use something like a Visoflex effectively turning your camera into an SLR. You could also use finders like you do for wide angles.
Smaller flanges are great but when you are not using a wide angle on a rangefinder it's just empty space.
There is no situation that a rangefinder is more accurate to focus than an SLR, that is just dumb.
Yes, rangefinders can be smaller but that is not always the case. Yes, they are quiet. Yes, the wide angles are smaller. Just don't forget that those same advantages bring disadvantages.
