I think the next thing you should take a look at is sharpening and resizing to retain a little more fine contrast.
With my DP1M I don't touch the sharpening controls in DPP, export as "same size".
I use USM values of about 1.2px/90%/7 on the fullsize file, then downsize with cubic interpolation in GIMP. Usually I'm happy with that.
However, depending on the subject matter, and whether or not the file is just usably sharp or *sharp*, that can look a little jaggy.
Some Sigma files I've actually applied a 2px Gaussian Blur to, before downsizing to double final size, applying a 0.4px/35%/0 USM, and downsizing to final res.
