I also prefer the colors of this shot over the green landscapes: the ground being much lighter value than the sky draws my attention toward the ground/skyline. I guess I don't find the clouds in this shot particularly interesting, aside from the more dense bit on the right... my eyes keep drifting toward the horizon.
