im the biggest n00b when it comes to camera's.

Can i get really high quality picture from far away with this like for sports and outdoor stuff, and would it be good for filming as well.?

i just bought it, and wholly shit this thing is a piece of shit it barley zooms in, the pictures r some what high quality but look kind white and fuzzy on the edges and the things zoom features is horrible. and it takes for ever to focus, sometimes it dosent even focus.

can i fix this shit in settings or should i just return it?

You didn't understand that the "zoom" range is due to the lens you're using?

Also, it's not a pro camera in terms of focusing, no, but it should not really be too bad - maybe you set it up wrong.

Good zoom glass (the lens) is $1000 at least.

Good video camera is also $1000 or more (blackmagic camera or some canon + magic lantern firmware).

High quality pictures are ALSO $1000 or more.

And those are not all in one device - though I guess you can cut some money off if you repurpose a Canon or Nikon or Sony for all of these uses it'll not really be entirely amazing and still well over $2000 with good glass and stuff.

You might just want to get a travel zoom from snapsort and make do with what it can shoot, and maybe augment it with a sports camera (xiaomi yicam or gopro or whatever) for video. Not amazing, but cheap and "easy".

Lumix FZ72 might be a better choice, 'cause 60x zoom and slightly cheaper and marginally better image quality (even if it's still pretty bad).

The FZ200 isn't that bad, but if you think the specs are going to be better than an entry-level DSLR then you're mistaken. Except for its high-speed video recording and 25-600mm zoom lens, there should be no reason to get it over the K-50. It's slow to focus, zooming in and out takes considerably more time than a manual zoom/focus lens, and the noise performance is awful at anything higher than 400 ISO.
If you want something easy to use and produces half-decent images, but has none of the flexibility and all of the weight and bulk of a DSLR, go ahead and get it.
