We all know for a fact, through experience and understanding of the inner working of compression, that when it comes to photographs, the jpg format is going to be smaller, and unless you are retarded, it will look just as good.
the png format, athough it will look just like the source by definition (so, just as good as a jpg not done with your shoes on head), will also have a much bigger filesize, making a whole collection harder to hoard, and making transfers on the internet much more time-consuming for both uploading and downloading parties.
So, what's the point in changing, when you have the same quality, but with a more useable filesize with jpg.
