Problem is: NO real photographer would use the recovered shadows from any of those cameras. They would expose correctly or use HDR.
Are the A7rII shadows better then the 5DSr shadows when pushed 5ev? Of course. This is not news. Sony has used on sensor ADCs for years now. And Canon has used off sensor ADCs for years now. That's the source of the shadow noise difference.
But while +5ev looks like putrid shit on Canon sensors, it still looks like shit on Sony sensors, and real photographers don't want to print shit whether it's normal shit or putrid green shit. Shit is shit either way.

tl;dr - all cameras can push shadows about +3ev and still make a quality print. Beyond that they are all shit.
