>>2659381Yeah right now I just simply cannot afford the peripherals which, in my opinion, are arguably dispensable specifically for the situation I'm in.
If you must know, I'm working on a film where 90% of the shots (which will end up being around 300-500 total) are completely still. If you'd like to know more, the film is a visual narrative that has no dialogue, no actors, and will be shot completely in natural light save for maybe 5% of the shots which I'll be using lighting for.
The reason I need the "step-up" before anything else is simple - the camera gives me something extremely important, that is to say the 4.6k gives me the ability to get rid of any and all unwanted motion so that I may crop it at 4k - I'll be screening the film this way and I need the 4k resolution to make the film I'm making even worth watching.
If you know the film Koyaanisqatsi, then it's basically following that model. The situations are highly controlled and I can work this way no problem.
Eventually, however, I will for SURE get the follow focus and the rail rig. I'd be an idiot not to, but right now the most important thing is resolution and the ability to get as much detail as possible.
If I was shooting in film for example, instead of using a 35mm fully decked out, I'd opt for a 75mm with minimal equipment.
Feel free to criticize me and offer advise however, I'm always listening. But right now, 1080p simply isn't going to cut it, and I want to future-proof my film.
