>>2647789>Just because you magnify it more doesn't mean you get more detail...... It does, since you're capable of capturing that level of detail in the first place, even if the result picture doesn't highlight that. By that logic, sensors card suffer from the same problem because of issues like grain or inaccurate focusing, to name a few.
>We're to the point where photo sites on a 36mp sensor are as small as grains on a piece of filmYou still need to program those sensors to capture that detail, which often results in needing more horsepower and performance requirements, which mean -- hardware wise -- you need to design a camera that can accommodate those requirements, which will be incredibly difficult with current hardware right now, and you'll need to wait a bit until they're more in circulation. Current 4K camcorders, for example, end up losing some battery performances when shooting at full detail for these very reasons.
>so you can blow a digital image up just as easily and claim to get "microscopic detail"No, you're just stretching out what little detail it captured, and losing some of the quality as a result. And current anti-aliasing technology is still pretty lackluster unless you're an animator.
>What???? I'm not even going to keep going through this post...It saddens me to see a board dedicated to photography and hardly anyone understands the STEM angles of the field.
