It's all thick brush and deadfall in Nova Scotia, especially on the coast. Glaciers stripped our soil away, so everything is granite just a foot or so down. Makes for weak trees with wide shallow root systems that fan out when they fall, and lots of scrub. Slow going, and noisy. Most days, I get nothing.
I try to just enjoy it all, and treat good shots like a bonus.
