you don't have to be the best photographer in the world to sell a product. he literally designed a pair of shoes, shot it himself, and released it. what does that have to say to you?
you can still think he isn't good and that doesn't matter (nor does my opinion) but the fact of the matter is that there's a very large group of people who eats up everything he creates.

you can go on forever about an artist's name being all that matters for some people but that's such an irrelevant argument when there's no real way to blindly showcase somebody's art unless you're setting up some bullshit experiment where you ask people's opinions on photos with no context
