You want to try and get 39mm filters to fit everything. Because it's the smallest filter size, the most common size for Leica, and the most compact size, your setup will be most manageable and include the least finder blockage this way. Best way to do this is to avoid the Summilux line, which makes optical compromises to get in an extra stop of light anyway. For wide or long focal lengths, try to stick to Elmarits, because Summicron for those is what Summilux is to standard Summicrons.
Basically:
>Noctilux: big richman toy that blocks half your finder>Summilux: f1.4 with less sharpness and detail than Summicrons, as well as a bit of finder blockage>Summicron: f2.0, the best 50mm and 35mm lenses that money can buy unless you want ultra-speed>Summarit: f1.5 in the 1940's, f2.5 now, waste of time both then and now>Elmarit: f2.8, sweet spot for 28mm>Elmar: below f2.8, good for longer lensesThe trick with Leica isn't buying the most expensive shit, because that becomes unmanageable and uncomfortable when traveling. The trick is to build a setup that really works for you, and the fastest way is to match everything to the 39mm filter size, which includes the best overall lenses in the lineup, anyway.
