But the E-Mount is not expensive *for* higher end glass. Zeiss Batis 85mm, Sony FE 90mm macro, Zeiss Sonnar 55mm and so on are comparatively cheap in that regard.
Besides, I think it is perhaps doubtful as a strategy to have much $400-800 glass that resolves to like 12-14 "useable" MP on 40MP sensors and like 8 "usable" MP on a 20MP sensors. I think 40MP+ might already be everyone's problem in 1-2 generations of camera bodies, anyways.
