Some retard bought one of these a few months ago and spammed us relentlessly with it as well.
It could have been isis, I forget. They were a Fuji user, anyway.
At the end of the day, it's a joke lense for joke photos.
You'll enjoy the gimmick, and annoy everyone else, for about a month tops, then go back to shooting something you can actually focus reliably and that makes sharp pictures.

I use half frame lenses. I like 'em. I got the 18mm, 24mm and 50mm for a total of £21.

You can't tell the 50mm is a half frame lens, it's very good. The 24mm and 18mm have some vignetting and distortion, but it doesn't bother me. I'll post some examples. I shoot on single AF most of the time and switch to M when I want to use peaking. It's quicker than going into the menus to turn peaking on/off when I want to change.

They're fun lenses. On my rangefinder I had no way of knowing the frame lines or knowing if I was in focus. The Pentax Auto 110 system had the aperture in the camera body, so all the lenses are wide open at ƒ2.8.

Any chinese-manufacture 35mm 1.7 (or 1.6, or 1.9, or whatever, they get labeled a lot of different shit) is going to be a variation on this ol' design.

They're very neat little lenses if you know what to expect. There are some better designed variations out there as well that are more properly notated for aperture and such, but they tend to run double the price.

Oh really? I'll try it tomorrow. Thanks! Another reason is when zooming in in single AF mode it zooms in further than in manual mode, for some reason. That might just be while peaking is on, though. I'll play around.

I bought one of those CCTV lenses. One I have I couldn't get it to focus on anything. And when you stop it down, the leaves would close to a rectangular shape instead of something uniform.

Got mine yesterday from "Mirrorless" 35mm 1.6 for my Fuji. I'm happy with it but Wish I could try a bigger aperture but that is what I get for living on the sun.

Your camera has an available max shutter speed of 1/32,000th of a second. You're currently at 1/160, meaning you could theoretically open up 7 additional stops and still expose correctly.

There are plenty of great 1.8f lenses sub $100 (eg Nikkor 50mm AF D)
