I just got a Panasonic GH2 and want to start taking photographs of the interior of houses but I'm a complete noob and have a few questions on lenses.

I want a wide angle lens to make up for the gh2's smaller sensor size so I was looking at the Panasonic Lumix 14mm f/2.5
I was wondering if this would be a good lens to start a small business shooting the interior of houses with?
Also, is there any way to shoot with a deep depth of field with this sort of lens or should i consider buying Panasonic's 14-42mm f/3.5 -5.6 lens as it has a higher f-stop? Does the f-stop difference matter that much?

Like i said I'm a real noob at this so any wisdom would be appreciated, thankyou

the f/no rating of a lens describes it's largest f/no, unless it's a fixed aperture, which they practically never are. the 14mm lens can use everything from 2.5 (blurry background) to 22 (everything in focus from touching the lens to past infinity).

also, 14mm is the longest you want to use for this type of photography on this camera. Panasonic sells a 7-14mm zoom lens that would be much more appropriate. though it's always good to have another lens, like a 45mm, just in case you want to take detail shots.

For example, you've figured out that larger number f stop means a deeper depth of field, but you haven't figured out that the maximum aperture of a lens isn't the only aperture it can shoot at. If you stop to f/16 or more you'll have a much deeper depth of field. A wide angle lens already has a deeper depth of field anyway.

14 mm in m4/3 is 28 mm equivalent which isn't wide angle enough. Agencies are going to want wider than that, because it makes the rooms seem larger and shows more of the room. You'll want more like a 12-22 equivalent, which is like 6-11. I don't know what m4/3 sells in those ranges, you can look it up.

You'll also want a good tripod, because the lighting isn't always great in houses, and you want pristine photos. You will probably also want to learn how to do HDR photography. Not in a garish way, but stacking exposures can be very helpful inside a house.

This. Also, think about purchasing lighting gear. Don't go with speedlites, you need flashes with a proper modeling light instead (or continuous lights, which would be even better) so that you can see what you're doing with the light prior to taking the shot.
Lighting is everything. You simply can't rely on the few lightbulbs that are already installed in the rooms and / or the sun coming in through the windows. Your photos will look like shit, especially when they're needed for real estate purposes.
