>>2666624I need some advice on buying my first DSLR. Now mind you, I've been researching cameras and dreaming of getting an SLR for a little over a year now. I know I'm ready. I'm not just "that" typical person who is going to lose interest in this a month from now. I love this shit. Also, I LOVE Pentax. I just do, so I have a question about their gear.
I had my mind set on the K-50. That is a bit pricey for me right now (broke + college, etc)... So I was thinking of just getting the K-R. It's older, but still has a high max ISO value(I shoot at night a LOT), decent shutter speeds, but it isn't weather resistant (I live in Ohio, and love to shoot in the fall (snow, light rain)... Is this a good idea? I'm currently shooting with a Blackberry Classic..... If I can make a BLACKBERRY work, I know I'll be happy with even this DSLR. Is there anything I should know? Am I missing something?
I know the K-Mount is universal to all lenses for the most part, so I may even buy some old retro lenses and play around with those as well. This is just all stuff I've been thinking about for some time. So basically..... Does this sound like a good idea?
