The borders help isolate the image and it just simply looks "cleaner" to me, the borders were necessary as im planning to sitch them together to use on another site. So to the new friends, calm the fuck down.
As for the first picture (and to the idiot who said it was poorly exposed), I purposely boost the shadows to obscure her face, though I rather not explain as it might upset you textbook fags
This I like it because it shows the interaction between the subject and her watch. I agree with your last line, many here expects pictures to look like it's for a cover of some magazine and anything less isn't /p/.
