Wow, some actually helpful comments. Thanks /p/!!
>>2669697Nope, not him. I usually shoot 6x6 but have put that camera away for the time being to get my photo motivation back.
>>2669700Thanks anon. I agree with you about the weakest one for sure. I almost didn't post it but figured what the hell, it was a little different from the others. I was going for a minimalist/abstracted approach. Usually I try to take clean images that tell the whole story and that's why I think I burned myself out on photo. With these photos I was trying the total opposite, only showing glimpses of a much larger whole. Thanks for the recommendation on laszlo moholy-nagy, I really like his use of forms!
>>2669720Eh, I guess it's a style in that it is nearly the antithesis of what I usually shoot. All of these were with a Canon 50mm 1.8 FD.
>>2669738Cheers anon! These were shot right around dusk so the lighting was quite nice. I'm glad you pointed out the abstraction as that's what I'm trying to explore. I find it hard to do without becoming too obvious or kitchy (like the building shots from funny angles you mentioned). Having fun is the main reason for doing these. I don't seem to have the same type of joy while shooting that I once had so I'm stepping outside my usual photo routine to try to rediscover it.
Any other comments or crit much appreciated!
