What is a good lens+film+filter combo for shooting black and white landscape on 35mm?

I'm torn between an orange or red filter. The photo posted is with 400 ISO (no filter), but I just ordered some 100 ISO bw film. I almost feel like I'm just too damn far away from things for them to appear sharp :x

if you're shooting landscapes, you have no need for fast films or fast lenses. get slow film (iso < 100) and develop with an accutance boosting developer. use a red filter if you want a black sky, it adds a moody effect. the effect is less pronounced with orange and yellow filters. get a good zoom lens and a tripod.
