Thanks for the edits, but my screen is probably relatively contrasty and thus they look over the top. Same with the black and white, they look just fine on my monitors, but I know they may look too flat on others. There is not "processing" as such, these are all relatively direct scans. Since it's high contrast scene shot on positive film, a flatbed scanner has issues in dealing with it and generates a lot of noise in shadows.
