Dedicated macro lens is best and at $400-900 the obvious thing to get if you often shoot macro (or if you prefer, a good microscope for $2000+ if your subjects are really small).
The option to use on the cheap is extension tubes ($10 or so) and/or an achromat filter lens for like $100.
