>>2683192word dude. Well, if anything, pick up "The Medium Format Advantage" from your local library/bookstore. It's an amazing book that should basically be retitled to "Photography: How To". It covers not only the advantages and ins/outs of using medium format (which, put simply, is much better than 35mm, providing superior image quality without all the hassle of having to go large format), but also explains numerous basic composition techniques/technical aspects that apply to every concentration in photography. Really I think the best way to learn is through books like this. All the information that comes from the internet - including from the asshole of it that we find ourselves currently in - is a place full of opinions and faulty, biased approaches toward the art itself. I'm definitely not the best person to take advice from, that's for sure. So instead of asking tips from a bunch of gear faggots and shy unpopular photographers, listen to the experts. Trust me, I think there's more you can learn from Ansel Adams' "The Camera" than you can from the entirety of the internet itself. I'm glad you've chosen medium format, I truly believe people learn the most about themselves as photographers and the most about the field itself during this step of experimentation.
Tl;dr Better, easier to digest advice is out there than what 4chan can offer you
